Recover Hacked WhatsApp Account

If your WhatsApp account has been hacked or banned, here are the steps and options to recover or unban it:

1. Recover Hacked WhatsApp Account

Option 1: Re-Register with Your Phone Number

  • Log Out the Hacker: Simply uninstall WhatsApp from your phone and reinstall it.
  • Re-Register: Open WhatsApp and register again using your phone number.
  • Verify via SMS: A verification code will be sent to your phone. Enter it in the app to verify and log in.
  • Two-Step Verification: If the hacker enabled two-step verification, you’ll need to enter a PIN. If you don’t have this PIN, you’ll have to wait 7 days to access your account without the PIN.

Option 2: Request a Verification Code by Email

  • If the hacker activated two-step verification and you can’t get in, you can request a reset link by email.
  • Go to WhatsApp’s official support page and fill out the form. Provide as many details as possible (phone number, any error messages, etc.).
  • WhatsApp will send you a recovery email.

Option 3: Log out Suspicious Devices via WhatsApp Web

  • Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to Settings > Linked Devices.
  • Check for unknown devices or browsers. If you see any, log them out by tapping on them and selecting “Log Out.”

Option 4: Contact WhatsApp Support

  • Email WhatsApp Support: You can email WhatsApp at support@whatsapp.com with the subject “Hacked Account.”
  • Through the App: Go to Settings > Help > Contact Us, explain your issue, and WhatsApp support will guide you.

2. Unban WhatsApp Account

Option 1: Wait for the Ban Period

  • If your account was temporarily banned, the ban usually lasts between 24 and 48 hours. You should see a countdown on your WhatsApp screen. Once the ban is lifted, you’ll be able to use your account normally again.

  • If your account was permanently banned, you need to appeal to WhatsApp.
